Unfortunately, a majority do. They have even called Democrats traitors to their country.

Quimliqer · 70-79, MVIP
For the most part, yes!!
Lonar2 · 26-30, F
@Quimliqer They show the rest of the world so little respect, no wonder they have just lost the financial system to BRICS
Contrary to popular belief, the administration and the Congress are NOT America. They are intended to serve the people, all the people all the time.

Clearly that’s a tall order. So they have decided not to serve the people, but to build a voter base that serves THEM.

The end result is a fanatic fan base (on both sides of the aisle), that pays little attention to what a candidate has done and will do. It doesn’t matter what’s right, or honest, or ethical, or American. Winning is the only thing. Staying in position to win the next vote is the only thing. BECAUSE I love my country, I want the best for America.

No in fact Patriotism is largely dead in America.
Munumbis · 46-50, MNew
Nationalism protects your country from globalism.
@Munumbis My country exists because of globalism. It was not completely homogeneous when the European colonizers arrived, and certainly not since.

Not the intelligent Americans, no. But, then again, many Americans who would call themselves "patriots" are in reality "jingoists".
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
what do you call it when someone claims to be a patriot but who refuses or refused to join the military, in fact that for 5 generations his relatives have refused to do so?
Imo, the people here who claim loudest to be "patriots" probably know least what that word means.

They fit your definition of "nationalist" much more closely, unfortunately. 🙁
