Isn’t it weird that TV shows have only 5 to 10,000,000 viewers per episode?

Given that 330 million Americans and many more people around the world

Well not everyone watches the same shows or maybe more than one person is watching but it only gets counted as one view

@YoMomma no if it’s a family of four they will consider it that there are four viewers

@YoMomma How they figure that out:
Nielsen (or similar systems) uses:
• Meters installed in a sample of households.
• Viewing diaries or remote controls that track who in the family is watching.
• From this small sample, they extrapolate to the whole population.
So when they say "5 million viewers" they're estimating the number of people, not just the TVs or households
- including family members watching together.
