Do you believe the Western nations should pay reparations to those who are descendants of slaves?

Do you think that is to highlight that they have not been able to throw off their slave attitude and show the world that their contributions to humanity are indeed worth more than their forebears fates? Or is that just a means for failing societies to survive in the modern world of diminishing democratic and economic returns?

No. The Western nations didn't start slavery. It was going on all over the known world a few thousand years ago. Maybe reparations should start with the countries in the cradle of civilization. Then get to the participating countries chronologically. When they get to America let it be known that the American people were the ones that STOPPED slavery in the free world. Please let me know how successful they are in getting reparations from the countries that are still slavery either openly or covertly. 🇺🇸

@Nitedoc it was the British Empire that STOPPED it in 1833

@BigGuy2 Yes, you're right. I forgot about that. Americans didn't pay much attention to the Britts after we ran them out of our country.

@Nitedoc ... it was the white Americans that took America to Civil War to free slaves yes, costing 600-750,000 casualties in the process

@BigGuy2 I know. We fought and beat the Britts when they invaded America in 1812. Long before the Civil War. FYI. There were a lot of black people that fought in the Civil War. Some joined the army officially and some fought as guerilla soldiers just like the white people did.
