Do you believe the Western nations should pay reparations to those who are descendants of slaves?

Do you think that is to highlight that they have not been able to throw off their slave attitude and show the world that their contributions to humanity are indeed worth more than their forebears fates? Or is that just a means for failing societies to survive in the modern world of diminishing democratic and economic returns?

No. No more than African nations should pay reparations to the descendants of the slaves they sold to the Europeans, or these slaves they kept in Africa.
