The UK may have brought upon the WWW to the world, but America invented the internet and innovated further with JavaScript, Netscape, HTML, and SSL. Early programming languages like C, Java, and SQL were invented in America, later ones like C#, React Native, and Swift also in USA. let's not forget that most profitable tech companies are in America; literally the only one from UK is ARM.
Penicillin was discovered not invented, and the steam engine (or at least a prototype) was actually invented by some Greek philosopher about 2 millennia ago. Going by what I wrote earlier, had it not been for the Roman and Greek empires (along with Arab caliphates and later the Ottomans preserving such knowledge), the Renaissance would've never happened and by extension Britian would've remained insignificant. Also speaking of Muslims, computers wouldn't have been possible without algebra and algorithms, and it was during the Islamic Golden Age that such concepts were invented.
I don't care about legislation nor literature although last I checked, Shakespeare is considered alt right extremism lmao 🤣 No offence, but most people could care less about who invented what; it's the innovations that are more impactful. IBM may have invented the first cellphone with touchscreen, internet access, and various apps catering to the masses, but Apple with their iPhone changed the world. Let's be honest here, does anyone really care that Middle Eastern civilizations invented agriculture, writing, military, religion, legislation, and cities?
