Do you believe the Western nations should pay reparations to those who are descendants of slaves?

Do you think that is to highlight that they have not been able to throw off their slave attitude and show the world that their contributions to humanity are indeed worth more than their forebears fates? Or is that just a means for failing societies to survive in the modern world of diminishing democratic and economic returns?

Why just the western nations? Why not every nation that had slaves?

It’s not just a western problem. Look at the Muslim world, Africa, Asia.

@Decapito Exactly! And of the Western countries Portugal 🇵🇹 has had more slaves from Africa for plantations in Brazil than any other country in the world.
The number of slaves taken by Arabs is inestimable.
@DaliaCQ in fact, the word slave is derived from Slavics because so many of them were forced into it by many empires, including the Arab caliphates and Ottomans (oh and the Mongolians)
