Well, I prefer honesty, but it depends on the definition of honest, and some honesty can cause suffering. If by consequences you mean the death penalty for murder, stealing, jay walking etc, then that equality would be problematic. In today’s dishonest manipulation of language, where even truth is labeled as “misinformation,” one has to be careful with all or nothing questions like this.
