@Robynthebeautiful so if that were the case America would be called Colombia. But since it was actually discovered by Amerigo Vespucci, it’s called America.

It may have even been discovered by Leif Erikkson before that.

@Robynthebeautiful aside from the fact that technically Native Americans first discovered the Americas and settled via the Bering land bridge, if we mean non indigenous people, Leif Ericson predated Columbus by hundreds of years.
