@Ghostinthemachine I first heard the Cocteau Twins and Dead Can Dance on a college radio station in the 80s ... first heard the Cure on tv in the 80s ... with Seefeel I think I read an album review in Spin magazine and bought the cd just based on the review ... I don't recall how I discovered Boards of Canada, possibly on a SomaFM channel (Internet radio), but I've also noticed sometimes BoC tracks show up on public radio in the US, whether as snippets between stories on news programs, or as background music in promos for other upcoming new programs
