My friend Adelaide and I went across the river tonight to the Centre Pompidou, Beaubourg, to see what was happening. Someone had said there was going to be a surprise concert, impromptu there in the foyer, but it wasn't true. We got dressed up and took the métro there, but there's no taking the métro after dark, too dangerous!
