Robbie Robertson ~ Peyote Healing

I wonder his meaning, but I feel in a way I can not pronounce, I do. A silent intuition.

I want to try Peyoty Robert Pirsig talks about his experience in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

@Lostpoet Interesting. Also an odd find..... the art of motorcyle maintenance and peyote. What have you been reading?

A quick read brings about this,
I was taking sleeping pills. And I had taken peyote [an hallucinogen] which changes your serotonin levels and so on. I was definitely manic, anyway, but manics can tell the truth too. When I got to Chicago I was again making problems for people, and I could see I was coming to a dead end. That's when the depression took hold. (Robert Pirsig)

There is evidence for hallucinogen's helping with depression.

Not what I felt in song when I shared, exactly, but I wonder what Robbie meant? Writer's use metaphors too and it's considered an Indigenous drug, so what he sang about, did he write in some understanding, or having had taken? Curious...... it's known people look to drugs to calm their mind. I felt a silence spoken.
