You know, I never yet, till sorta today was much into David Tibet's singing style in Current 93, from many years ago, I would proudly prefer NWW on the hilltops, Steven Stapleton I think the guy's name is, (I gotta obsess about names like I did when I was a teenager) there's this whole nucleus of exciting musicians that originated with Throbbing Gristle, and for me there's the Derek Jarman connection, and so there's also connections to Aleister Crowley which is very fitting for Spooky Season, PLUS what I'm more or less going for is Industrial and all the different kinds birthed from it, plus finding out how I can compliment all that with other sections of Extreme Metal like Doom, Death and Black principally.
I see these brave new composers like NWW as carrying on in the footsteps of modern classical composers who dove right into Electronics, like Parmegiani and Luc Ferrari, both of which Spotify has their complete works!! Back in my CD getting days I had bought a fairly nice selection of that stuff, Pierre Henry, Pauline Oliveros etc .... Musique concrete is I think one of the basic components of Industrial, and NWW did a lot of Experimentation, as well as dark ambient classics.
I will only be posting albums like this that I haven't shared before. Stay spooked!! 👻
