@HeadGirl Some interesting trivia about this song. It is the most recorded song in history. That is, more different recordings of it have been made than of any other song(over 1500). It was written for a 1955 movie "Unchained" about prison life. In the film it was sung by Todd Duncan, who created the role of Porgy in Porgy and Bess.
