Andre Rieu

Mary Poppins to Evita to a singing puppet. The audience is entranced and fully participating.

i love it.

But...during "Don't Cry for me, Argentina," is that Hannibal Lecter down front?

I cannot express to you how much I loved this video and this lady's beautiful voice. I cannot thank you enough for sharing it with us. Although I did not hear her sing Don't Cry For Me, Argentina. I'll have to watch it again. Oh that was just so beautiful, I could listen to it over and over. Thank you, mama. ❤🤗🤩

Don't Cry For Me is my all time tear-jerker. Beyond the song is a fascination with Argentina and Juan and Eva Peron that goes back to my childhood. Probably a time when I started reading the front pages of the daily newspaper rather than the comics. South America was the daily news for years. Cuba, Argentina, Central America, Banana Republic. Like a powder keg ready to explode. Vice President Nixon attacked by a mob in Venezuela.

Years later, when I was in the Air Force and had the fortune to fly through much of Central and South America, I made a stop at a military installation in Venezuela and was gifted with lunch and a courtesy tour of the installation and air field. Parked on the tarmac, under guard, was Juan Peron's escape airplane that had been parked there for 10 years.
@Heartlander That's some history!

Small world. We watched this on YouTube at 5 a.m. this morning. Awoke too early to do anything but take a nap and enhanced the naps with a string of YouTube music videos.
