I’m watching the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction

They started off with Carole King. When I was a kid, a friend of mine’s mom had the “Tapestry” album. When I went over to her house we would listen to that album all the time.

Now they’re doing a tribute to Tina Turner. Takes me right back to the 80s! What’s love got to do with it?

I remember when this came out. That was back in the days of VHS recorders, boys and girls. I actually put a tape in the VCR and then waited for this commercial to come on so I could tape it.

@SmartKat That was back when we were part of “the new generation”. 😃
Tina was and remains an all time favorite. I think she actually got better after leaving Ike. "Private Dancer" is one of my favorite albums.
@Grateful4you Most definitely. That’s when she really became a superstar. I understand she’s a German citizen now, with her husband.
@bijouxbroussard Yep, he is a handsome guy. Both her husband and producer quite a nice little deal.

Tapestry was sort of her Brill Building graduation and though I liked the original,it was good to hear her doing this as she conceived it

This is the first time I had seen Randy Rhoads recognized for his guitar playing.
He died almost 40 years ago!
Sounds like fun! 😍
