Nothing happens twice is even true for recorded material, like films, books and music, for we are always bringing our current selves to it, but this song is also saying nothing ever happens here, thus it's to me expressing a delicious paradox. Delicious because it can make you want to explore the thought realms, or the immaterial.
There's too much I feel like saying, but i'm taking the effort to write in a document and I swear i'll make it all as crystal clear as I can.

Seems morose weird imagery you got your dirty looking junky swallowing pills. Not sure what they're getting at. Not many people are going to identify with this.
