I never understand what people mean when they say they "miss the music." The music is still there. And a thousand times more accessible now than it was in the actual 90s.

I was a teenager in the 90s and I remember skipping school to go to the record store on new release Tuesdays. I had a big binder with maybe 200 CDs by the end of the decade. But in the age of the internet I've been able to discover a lot more 90s music than I ever did during the actual decade.
...

But to answer your question: I do miss the 90s. I miss the optimism we felt back then. I miss that period after the Berlin Wall fell but before the WTC fell when everything seemed like it was headed in the right direction. I don't know if we'll ever feel that again.

@Dex1981 You nailed it! That sweet spot in time. I’m sad my kids will never feel that free.

@Dex1981 Do you connect emotionally with music, or is it about finding music? I remember those days of walking into a record store, looking upon covers and titles and there was a joy in finding something unique and intimate. I prefer the sentiment and emotion over the availabiliy now
