Whenever I was riding in the car with my parents on a long road trip, they always got to choose the music that we listened to. I had virtually no say in the matter. They might listen to a station that I liked for a minute or two, but as soon as something came on that they didn't like (which didn't take long), they would always change the station to one of those easy listening, "music of your life" stations. Then, for the rest of the trip, I would be bored to tears listening to their music, until "Love is Blue" by Paul Mauriat came on. It was so beautiful and sweet that I always liked it, even as a child. It was nice to have a song that my mom, my dad, and I could all enjoy together while riding in the car.
