I've always loved "Pop Muzik" by M. I recently read that Wally Badaru had a lot to do with that sound and I'm embracing it even more.
But ...I'm wary of actually listening to it tonight...although I probably will.

Nifty boogie-woogie style number from Humphrey Lyttelton and his band. Reached the Top 20 in the summer of 1956. It was an interesting year in pop with many styles. Rock most obviously was new, the dance bands were on the way out, while traditional pop adapted and younger stars appeared. Some things were 'just passing through', like this one.
