I Use Music As Therapy For the Soul
I've noticed that the happy music I listen to when I'm happy doesn't always have the same effect when I'm sad. When I'm sad, I need something stronger, so some of my usual songs work well, but most of them don't.
I think about it like this: Let's say my sadness is a giant open wound on my arm. Listening to usual happy songs is like putting on a long-sleeved shirt to cover up the wound. Listening to sadness destroyers is like washing the wound and putting a proper bandage around it.
I've tried making a playlist of these songs to combat my sadness, but the list is shorter than I thought it would be. I'm hoping I can think of more songs later on that fit well into this playlist, that way I can have more of a variety of songs to listen to next time I'm really feeling down.
