Why do people hate Taylor Swift so much?
I don't love her but i am trying to understand why there is so much hate for her

1) She is mega popular but most people who are not her fans don't get it. Though I am not a Swiftie, I think I do. Sure, on first listen, its cheesy generic pop. But... here is the thing: the lyrics have an emotional intelligence in terms of the good and bad emotions in relationships (within the same song). This gives the stories much more impact and relatability. Almost no other pop star does this.
2) There is also the culture war political dynamic. She is an ex-country singer and strident liberal. A childless woman in her mid-thirties who is also an icon of success so a certain demographic of people will hate her.

@Burnley123 I except your analysis. I am old enough to remember the hysteria of "Beatlemania" and compare this. With the Beatles it was four young guys and mostly screaming girls. Now we have one not so young woman and its still screaming girls. I wont speculate on the logic there.. But I have thought that is she every learned to choose a decent guy she would be out of business.😷

@Burnley123 That was a red herring to distract people from the truth..The Chiefs won the Superbowl because all but three of the team were Australian ex ALF players winding out their declining years in a softer game..😷
