From what I've seen in University she is basic to men as she doesn't have striking features that are considered stunning by men so she's not their ideal, their standard is someone who is seen as hot and unattainable like Megan Fox, who was hated by women as she was considered a threat to them, unlike Taylor who has the girl next door type of visuals so women aren't threatened by her
There's a YouTube channel named Quoves studio which explains how different features get such reactions scientifically and it's cool

@SW-UserI think that in addition to what you are referring to, her "problem" (and it is not really a problem" is that her whole manner is such that she is not "trying to be sexy or romantic" for men in her audience. It's the old story of men finding women "insufficiently feminine" if the woman isn't playing the role men want her to play.

@DrWatson I don't think that's the problem, Billie Eilish does the same thing and she has lots of male fans who think she "hides her hotness", it's just that Taylor's known for breakup music and caters to the female gaze like Harry Styles
