Lovely, had not heard it before!

Last night we watched a documentary on Prime about the LA "wrecking crew," a group of 15 or 20 session musicians who played, uncredited, on many of the pop and rock records of the early and middle sixties. So I looked to see if Withers was backed by the wrecking crew in his 1970s records. Turns out he wasn't, even though he recorded in LA. Withers had his own preferred session crew, and they got credited on albums.
