One of my favorite bands during college was called "Fatback"…
The first time I heard of them was while we were in line to see the registrar, pay tuition, get our dorm, roommate assignments and classes. We attended the women’s school, but our brother college was within walking distance. We could sign up for classes on that campus; likewise the young men came for classes with us, or just to visit.
So, while we were lined up to register, a couple of guys were sitting on the grass near us; one had a boombox playing the Fatback song:

(I remember laughing. It was both tacky and kind of clever.)
Their music was popular at both student union dances and house parties…
