The Stud and The Bitch [I Like Music Of The 1970'S]

“Emotion” is a hit song recorded in 1977 by Australian singer Samantha Sang. It was written by Robin and Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees and brother Barry provided harmony and background vocals on the recording.

Originally intended to be used in the movie Saturday Night Fever, “Emotion” was instead featured in a British film called The Stud, starring Joan Collins. Some reviews I’ve seen of The Stud make it sound like one of the sleaziest, trashiest, soft-core porn-ish mainstream movies ever made, but with the saving grace of an excellent, mostly disco-flavored soundtrack. Same for the sequel, The Bitch, also starring Joan Collins.

If I ever watch either one of these wretched movies (preferably both), it will only be to hear the music, of course.

I like the song. I haven’t seen the movies, and now, I’m curious. 😄

They’re both based on novels written by her sister. I remember reading Jackie Collins’ books decades ago. They were pretty sultry, from what I remember.

@ChampagneOnIce Exactly how I feel. I like the song, and I wonder about the movies.

Oh, I should have known the films were based on books written by her sister. Never read any of them, but what you said is basically what I heard about them.
