How Deep Is Your Love__Bee Gees

How deep is your love? 馃槒

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpqqjU7u5Yc]

I know your eyes in the morning sun
I feel you touch me in the pouring rain
And the moment that you wander far from me
I wanna feel you in my arms again

And you come to me on a summer breeze
Keep me warm in your love then you softly leave
And it's me you need to show
How deep is your love

How deep is your love,
How deep is your love
I really mean to learn
'Cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me

I believe in you
You know the door to my very soul
You're the light in my deepest darkest hour
You're my saviour when I fall
And you may not think
I care for you
When you know down inside
That I really do
And it's me you need to show
How deep is your love

How deep is your love,
How deep is your love
I really mean to learn
'Cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me

And you come to me on a summer breeze
Keep me warm in your love then you softly leave
And it's me you need to show
How deep is your love

How deep is your love,
How deep is your love
I really mean to learn
'Cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me

When I was growing up, at certain age I discovered my parents' music collection behind the big old vacuum tube music center. It was a small stack of different size black LP vinyl records, mixed with thin flexible blue vinyls that they were receiving via mail in magazines.
I don't remember now what they had in that collection, there were some Beetles songs for sure, but for some reason one of the thin blue ones was a Bee Gees record, and one of the songs was this one.
I didn鈥檛 know the language then, I just liked the music, and it was the first time after I read your post, that I paid attention to the lyrics.
Surprisingly, the song turned out to be even better now when I understand the words :-)

@har7070 I believe what makes a good song doesn't only lie in the melody but also the lyrics that communicate to us.

@SW-User This is very true.
English is not my native language. When I grew up, we listened to American and European music, but the meaning of the lyrics was completely lost; words were just a part of the sound track.
Quite often it becomes an unpleasant surprise, when I accidentally find a song, that at some point was my childhood favorite, listen to it, and realize how dumb the lyrics is.
This song is an exception :-)

@har7070 Lol I had the same experience as you. But you know, at least we got to appreciate the music, the sound of the song.
