Name them. Let’s see who Putin is paying off.

@Roundandroundwego The problem is that a truce isn't an option right now. Zelensky wants his original borders back and war reparations, and Putin wants to keep the parts of Ukraine he thinks he's captured, along with a permanent agreement that Ukraine will never join NATO. Which one do those "religious leaders" support? A truce requires both sides to agree, and they're too far apart now.
Since this was reported in the Vatican News (a link would be nice), are they all Catholic priests? Catholic clergy in general are anti-war; I remember when Pope John Paul II came out against the Iraq War. It was hilarious to hear the right wingers who up to then called him a "great moral voice" when he was against abortion and gay rights, but after that, suddenly he was a "senile dotard."

@LeopoldBloom. No link. The problem of denial solved. Nothing ever happened, you win, I don't think facts matter to capitalist sympathyzers. So truth be dead.

@Roundandroundwego I'm not saying "one thousand and one religious leaders" didn't call for a truce; a lot of people are calling for one. I'm just saying that the two sides actually doing the fighting are nowhere near a truce. It's very easy to sit back comfortably here on the other side of the world and make pronouncements.
