maybe someone is pulling dual duty?

@dirge I hope so. They are pretty good and it'd be a shame if that creativity wasn't coming from them as a band.

Tool does not have a permanent keyboardist in their lineup. The band's core members are Maynard James Keenan (vocals), Adam Jones (guitar), Justin Chancellor (bass), and Danny Carey (drums).

While no dedicated keyboardist is a member, Adam Jones is officially listed as a guitarist and keyboardist in some gear profiles, and he has been known to play keyboard parts or use guitar synthesizers in the studio and live. Additionally, Maynard James Keenan has played keyboard during live performances, such as on the song "Vicarious" at Coachella.

On specific tour dates, the band has utilized guest musicians for keyboard duties. For instance, Roi M. Cabaret (from the band Killing Joke) sat in with Tool on several occasions to play keyboards, notably on the track "Descending" during the 2019 tour.

@dirge I wonder if maybe their producer has some influence.
