I have lived every word of this song and felt every note.

I know what it's like to not eat for five days. I didn't have a quarter to buy two hot dogs at the bar we were playing at. And I still had too much pride not to steal one.

I've had to pack up and load out at 3:00am and be on the road by 5:00am and have to drive 800 miles to the next gig.

You stop at a truck stop. You have enough money for something to eat or a pack of smokes. You choose the Camels.

Tomato soup made from ketchup packets and hot water and a pack or two of crackers. That was the meal,

I've woken up beside a girl, and didn't know her name or where the hell I was.

What I remember most is the soul numbing loneliness.
