Since Jeff Beck’s passing there has been a wonderful deluge of his performances on Tik-Tok and Youtube.
Can you identify the faces in his group after the Yardbirds back in the mid 60s?

You are the first to identify the drummer. I had to google him before the post. Ronnie and Rod were easier to identify.

@SW-User Aynsley got around. He was in Journey at one point as well as Jefferson Starship as well as Whitesnake(that's him on the original 1987 LP). He also did studio work with Frank Zappa and David Bowie. Not too shabby!

@Pfuzylogic I used to think he was allergic to successful bands, because I'm pretty sure he left Journey, Starship and Whitesnake. I had no idea he was on THAT much Zappa, though.

Playing for Zappa would be for only the best. Some of his compositions were very complex. Even though they were considered cacophonies, it would be even more demanding.

@uncalled4 I had previously bought Overnite sensations and decided to go into a rabbit hole. rabbit hole/Zappa…I had no idea where i led myself! 😅

@Pfuzylogic I have a bunch of FZ stuff. Lots of it is silly, but he was an enigma among enigmas. I can count the (Keep It Greasy) 19/16 as a bar of 4/4 and 3x16th notes, but the 21/16 just sounds like the band is having a seizure.

It might sound like a seizure but knowing Frank …everything is intentional. He was a genius at the very least!
