Maggie's voice is beautiful and she's a better singer in the new version, but the production and sound of the older speaks to me more...it's so subtle....I have the original on vinyl and have probably listened to this song 1000 time and thought about it a million...
The second one is waaayyyy better

@AbsolutelyFabulous I was 14 and my gran died the year before. My parents and I went to Lourdes the year after. At Charentes they bought a bottle of cognac. They didn't drink. I kept it and drank it in memory of my gran. The song has a lot of meaning for me
