Excellent Version of the Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother" Suite...

... played by Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France with Ron Geesin (= the arranger of the original orchestral score)
Bravo à l'orchestre de Radio France, interprétation magistrale!

Floyd fans: enjoy!

It's very good but I was spoiled because I was at the World Premiere (Bath Festival 1970). The John Alldiss Choir were all dressed in white and the lights were gleaming off the instruments of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble. And although I don't like him as a person, nobody can play guitar like Dave Gilmour!

@ArtieKat Wow Bath Festival 1970! 😳
Did I tell you that I sometimes feel like a displaced person, displaced in time?

@helenS Yes, you have! 😁

@helenS This BBC Concert version is worth listening to - together with the unique presenting style of the legendary John Peel

@helenS I'm listening to it all again. I want to compare in my own head with the French orchestra lol. I've always loved "Embryo"

@ArtieKat the first song is already very good – I've never heard that one before. Is it about a newborn?
ArtieKat · M
@helenS Yes.
