Maria Callas in La Traviata

A little wish of mine that I might manage sometime is to sprinkle this divine performance skillfully with other music you wouldn't expect to go along with it, it's that kind of musical bravery that I feel I was born with, haha, but boy oh boy this is a great but standard opera, I recall Marco Bellochio used an aria in his explosive debut Fists in the Pocket, and Fassbinder used one in his Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant. Maria Callas was a muse for Werner Schroeter and Pier Paolo Pasolini, starring in the latter's Medea too!!

After seeing the movie as a child I still remember Callas in that movie. What a great actress she was. Made her the opera star too. Too bad that she never did find the necessary private life that she sought out.

@val70 Wow,you saw that as a child??!! Her words at the end send chills down my spine, and her POV I find myself adopting at times. I got a biography on her Casa Diva I think it's called, should read it, ty my friend.
