Erich Leinsdorf's recording of Die Walkure is the greatest.

ArishMell · 70-79, M
Very good!

I take it the full four operas of the complete story are being perfomed?

I have not seen it, but have heard the entire Ring twice in weekly performances, once in full opera the other in concert format; broadcast on BBC Radio Three.

@ArishMell It was on TV in 1982. One act each week, introduced by Humphrey Burton. I picked it up in Act Three of the Valkyrie. And I’ve waited 43 years to see Acts one and two, this time beamed in to a local cinema
RedBaron · M
Years ago at the Metropolitan Opera.

@RedBaron Was it any good.

I’ve watched parts of different productions over 43 years. Until Wednesday, I was missing the first two Acts of Valkyrie. Though I have seen Gurterdamerung twice.
Straylight · 31-35, F
What did you watch that on?
peterlee · M
@Straylight A local cinema

Only Das Rheingold live. The rest only on video.
peterlee · M
@JoeXP where did you see it?
JoeXP · 56-60, M
@peterlee It was a long time ago! I think it was this Scottish Opera production in Edinburgh, but I can’t honestly remember for sure.
