What is your favourite Wagner opera and why

It changes for me currently it must be The Flying Dutchman.

The ghostly sea captain finds redemption by the love of a young maiden, who throws herself in the sea.

But it does not happen in reality.

Rheingold, probably because it’s a bit shorter than the others. I know it’s sacrilege to muck about with Wagner, but sometimes I feel there’s a lot of boring bits between the good bits.
