I saw La Traviata in Rome when I was twenty. It was spellbinding.

Once, early last year.
Giacommo Puccini's Madame Butterfly, performed by the Ukrainian National Opera on a UK tour.
The performance I saw was in the Pavilion Theatre, Weymouth. A screen on the proscenium arch gave a translation line by line to help us follow the story.
I thoroughly enjoyed it!
By contrast I had also seen The Searchers a few weeks before this, in the same venue, on what they said was their last tour - having started a couple of years before the Rolling Stones!
