Phantom of the opera to close after 35 year run on Broadway.

I heard that, sad that its over but an impressive run

Then I saw it just in time. I went to NYC this past Memorial Day and saw [i]Phantom of the Opera[/i] on Broadway. It was excellent. Too bad that it's closing, but I guess it's time for something new.

Saw it in LA and NYC, niether was better then the other.

That seems very sad. The end of an era.

I saw it so many years ago. I actually saw a performance with the late Robert Guillaume in the lead while Michael Crawford was on hiatus.
