Doris Day - Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be Will Be)

[media=https://youtu.be/SdhAfMor9BM]

When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, "What will I be?
Will I be pretty? Will I be rich?"
Here's what she said to me

Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera, sera
What will be, will be

Since I am just a boy at school
I asked my teacher, "What should I try?
Should I paint pictures? Should I sing songs?"
This was her wise reply

Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera, sera
What will be, will be

When I grew up and fell in love
I asked my lover, "What lies ahead?
Will we have rainbows day after day?"
Guess what my lover said

Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera, sera
What will be, will be

Now I have children of my own
They ask their mother, "What will I be?
Will I be pretty? Will I be rich?"
I tell them, "Wait and see."

Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera, sera
What will be, will be
Que sera, sera

If it is, I will watch it later today. It looks like a good movie, and I love movies that can draw out my emotions.🙂

@Journaling4Me It is indeed that movie. Don't watch the video clip if you haven't yet.

The movie was done by Hitchcock and features Jimmy Stewart as well, but I have never again seen it - my guess is I was around 9 or 10. It was fairly adult fare for that time.

@hlpflwthat I haven't watched the clip yet. I love Doris Day and Jimmy Stewart, so I bet I will love this movie. Thank you for letting me know there was a movie that went with the song. I honestly appreciate it. I love old movies, but sometimes it is hard for me to find good ones. Thanks again..🙂

@Journaling4Me My pleasure! Always nice to brighten someone's day - even unintentionally. I hope you enjoy it as much as I remember enjoying it. Tag me with your review?
