A pretty one! American 'country' was a sometime visitor to the British singles charts and this is one such song. It brings back (happy) memories of the spring and early summer of 1971. It was a fair-sized hit here - (looks up chart) No 3 for 4 consecutive weeks.
Who/what kept it off the top? T. Rex and 'Hot Love', Paul McCartney and 'Another Day', then...Ray Stevens and 'Bridget the Midget'. That last one is not in my 45's collection. All the others are 🙂
