I Hate Heavy Metal

Abysmal soulless noise, all of it! It appeals to a low intellect, it's repetitive, predictable and completely devoid of any innovation. Metal is the one type of music where I will never be able to see the appeal to. I just chalk it up to it being music for people who are easily entertained by thrashing, distortion and harsh vocals.

Not all of it is bad. But I agree with some of what you said, some bands are extremely repetitive and it's quite distasteful. I hate bands that do nothing but play in low chords, squeal and scream like an animal being murdered, but there are some good bands out there with really talented musicians that have clean, understandable vocals. To each his own I guess.
