Share with me works of great beauty.

Two contemplative works of immense beauty are Beethoven’s String sonata opus 132 and Mozart’s piano sonata No 8.

Heard both live recently. Both works new to me.

The third movement of the Beethoven lasts twenty minutes, out of this world, shows glimpses of heaven, written at a time of the relief of great physical suffering. It’s in the joyful key if F major. Given new strength with faster sections in D. Motto adagio - Andande.

Equally rewarding is Mozarts piano sonata No8. Written at the agony of his mother’s death. The third movement in A major, gives hope. Andate cantabile.

I’ve used both these works to meditate on the plight of the Palestinian children caught up in the horrors of Gaza. And the world itself we now live in.

Share with me, please, works of great beauty and hope.

There are many to choose from but one I have loved is Sibelius's 5th Symphony. Many times I have tried to decide which is my favourite movement, but actually I love all of it. Sorry.

@OriginalNedKelly I didn't know the reference, but looked it up. Very funny.

I am honored to be your friend here. Mozarts Requiem should be played loudly through loudpeakers by ethical Jews driving through the streets of Tel Aviv. Esp the Dies Irie. Followed by the John Williams Schindlers List score. The right people will understand.

Always loved this one by Beethoven. They use it to grade people, that's how I came to hear it:
