Silversun Pickups - Lazy Eye
I like being “picked up” between Silver Lake and Sunset 😉

I’m sure it’s already common knowledge or at least common to google the name of the band out of curiosity for the meaning behind or the root of their name.
I don’t recall exactly when or which the exact source of the information I first heard the origin story about the band and their inspiration for this particular name. But basically it’s the name of a liquor store that they used to get alcohol from when they got together to play late at night as Wikipedia says:
And that liquor store chose a portmanteau of the names of the two Los Angeles neighborhoods (Silver Lake and Sunset) for which it’s located in and near. (Just in case it wasn’t clear.) I can be thorough like that lol 🤓
I really like the way that they say their name is more of a “state of mind” ☺😊 I enjoy my state of mind when I hear their songs.
