While I never would have seen those lyrics for their meaning upon my heart when I was a child. It's the lyrics and the meanings of them when sung by my father, I remember now. I can see his face, his love and his guitar playing and singing of this song around campfires, like it was yesterday, and with every other song he would play we would join in as children. I remember with this song all of us just letting him sing for how solemn and beyond our understanding while watching the campfire embers burn. It was a song for him to sing, I feel celebrated love. I just remember his voice, my family, and the fires of the campfire etched upon his guitar singing now etched upon my heart and love.
