I found my old CD stash that I made when I was younger and I never realized just how much Linkin Park and AFI meant to me

The lyrics and the feelings they convey it's almost like they were written by me. Both of those bands I felt truly got me as in fully understood me. I've never found any other group that has the same staying power and resonance that those two groups have. Long story short I used to play guitar in a little local rock band I used to write songs and stuff and I swear to god it's like we were all in each others heads and shoes. I no longer write or play because depression and I felt nobody cared or noticed anyway. Plus it was a thing with friends anyway and when one of those friends died years ago I kind of went off the rails and said no more. I just quit that life and focused on another which obviously bore no fruit aka trying to be an idol and getting nowhere because I'm not a very great singer and I can't dance or rap to save my life though I try. Oh well I guess it was never meant to be. Dreams dead.
