He was so mad when I bought a 70 Z28 and the engine wasn't even running.
I put so much money in that car then blew the engine, he was furious. 😝

Yup, the older days where a lot of fun. After the Z28 I bought a 71 Firebird Formula 400 ram air. All stock, I just added centerline's, traction bars and rear window lovers and custom paint. Fastest car I ever owned.
My dad would go into the garage a see new tires every month. I smoked my tires so much, they'd be ball in a month.🤣

@Synyster lmfao! When I showed up with my Monte carlo all lowered down. He said I ruined the car. He always had Monte Carlos. He wouldnt come and look at the new spindles and springs I put in it. I wonder what he thought I did. So funny. Man that thing was hot! Lol

Haha no question we'd race, that's all I did most of the time. Lol

@Synyster I was the same. Everyone would go downtown and park at the YWCA on weekends. Then wed all go out of the city to race. Some one would always call the cops. They would come in hoards to bust everyone. That was a downer. Gosh we were out of the city!! Lol! I never got a ticket there. Thank god for that! Lol! Those were such good times. People still find places to race out there. I havent gone out for years now.A guy I work with always races out there. He shows me videos. Brings back memories for me. We dont have a race track here anymore. The last one has shut down. I loved it out there. Good times for sure. I wish they would open another one. Its safer that way.

I hear yeah. The cops in Ottawa back then didn't care as long as we didn't pass the speed limit by 20 mph.
We would race from green light to green light maybe doing 60 or 70 mph. But man it was loud and some cars had blowers and wheelie bar because the front end would come off the ground.
Man, I miss those days.

@Synyster very cool. There were so many nice cars that raced. And yes it was loud. I miss it also.
