Widely regarded as the best of Hendrix' recorded work, the sessions themselves were often said to be chaotic due to the number of 'friends' present.
Chas Chandler quit as producer before the album was finished because he said he couldn't work in such conditions. Although he is credited on the album as co-producer with Hendrix himself who is listed as 'Co-producer and Director'.
One point to note. The track 'Gypsy eyes' is one of [u]50 takes[/u] worked out between Hendrix and Mitch Mitchel
As with all of Hendrix' work it's hard to find a medium transfer, but it is on Spotify in full.
