Just watched a show done in 2011 about this specific album. The Doors last album. After they finished recording, Morrison went to Paris where he died a few months later.

@eli1601 It is a bit of an odd album. Lots of 'out there' stuff. But Riders on the storm is undoubtedly kick-ass.
