BUT, the reason why I didn't started putting them on here... is because they have so much. And I try not to have the same artist back to back. The Prodigies first albums are just really good.

It's pretty freaky, that a messed up bad commercial idea created these tunes 😅

They lost a lot of money, because no one wanted to buy their products. Most of these synthesizers like the 303, 707, 808, 909 ... all ended up on the secondary market. Where street kid DJs got a hand of them... and they well, created this stuff 😄

@SW-User There are some good documentaries out there about synthesizers and their history. There is a dutch one called: "Planet Electro" and they go to Japan to interview a Roland spokesperson. It's kinda embaresing, because the interviewer goes: "So this is the legendary 808". And the Japanese guy goes: "yeah, this is it". Intervieuwer: "This thing made some incredible records". Guy from Japan: "Yeah it got verry famous". Interviewer: "So you guys must have made a fortune". Guy from Japan: "nah... not really, it was a financial Flop".

And it's kind of the same conversation with every synth they produced that created this specific acid/techo/jungle/house sound

@Kwek00 yeah I'd like to see that...surely they made money once electronic music became more popular!

@SW-User Lol, with an old concept that they stopped producing because it didn't sell?

It's not that the guy that made the synthesizer gets royalties ;)

@SW-User Good old Schrooms. If the dutch governement didn't outlaw them in 2009 I would get a portion this weekend.

@SW-User You should watch out though... that you don't pick the wrong ones :| But if you know what you are doing... it's all good.

In the Netherlands they were pretty easy to get before 2009. But because tourists misbehaved (fucking assholes) they made outlawed them. You can still buy Truffles, but well, it's just not the same. And Holland had some heavy strains in their chops, you could buy "Copelandia Cyanescens", which is some serious stuff that is not for everyone.

@SW-User Yeah, I should do more of that too.

But I don't do much of the other thing, but like, once every 4 or 5 months, I wouldn't mind going real deep. But I've been out for a long while. It's not that I know people that do this stuff, it's not really a party drug, and it's hard to come by. From time to time someone lets me know they have LSD, and then I fill the fridge up.

@SW-User Yeah, this is not for everyone. And I also dislike asses that just trip without thinking or without preparing.

But I never ever had a bad experience ever. And I've gone really really deep more then once. But I never used psychedelics to forget, never used it when I was feeling bad, never used it because of peer pressure. I just plan these things in advance, and if my mood ain't right, I just put it back in the fridge. I had MDMA in my fridge for 5 years or something before I decided to try it out 😅

I don't think you mess around with this stuff, I respect it a lot. But I also enjoy, really really enjoy a good session.
