@SW-User Kraftwerk is amazing. I think I got all their albums and a bunch of bootleggs on my harddisk. But their 2005 double album: "Minimum Maximum" (Live) ... is just really good. I got it on DVD too.

Saw them life once. German electro music has been pretty good and was pretty important for Europe. I think it's German Electro from the late 70s and early 80s that combined with Chicago and Destroit Acide House, that created the western European sound.

@Kwek00 wow to see them live would have been magic, they were definitely the beginning of electronic...who was their influence??
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@SW-User according to wikipedia: According to English music journalist Simon Reynolds, Kraftwerk were influenced by what he called the "adrenalized insurgency" of Detroit artists of the late '60s MC5 and the Stooges.

😅 Because I don't know this stuff... I'm just a small hobbyist that can't remember names.

@Kwek00 pfft Detroit artists yeah right...I don't know either but they were incredible...I'm watching Minimum-Maximum live on youtube...so great ✨

@SW-User Yeah :D It is pretty good. It's the entire show.

It's not that kraftwerk does much diffrent, it's just 4 guys behind a music panel and some flashy background movie 😅
SW-User
@Kwek00 yeah I was just thinking it's the least physical effort of any band 😄
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@SW-User Well, they still play music, like they are actually doing something on their tables. However, I'm seriously wondering if they don't put in a disk most of the times.

What I found funny was that young people were seriously dissapointed on the bus trip back home. (like the festival ground could be accessed by bus, who drove you to the parking lots). They believed they could party to this music, while this is more listen and watchs stuff. I also wondered what they were expecting from "Kraftwerk", I don't think they really thought about this before buying a ticket 😅

@Kwek00 I have lots of great robotic moves...people must wonder what's wrong with me when I'm driving lol
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@SW-User I'm not sure if you have to go all Robot while driving.

BTW, have you ever seen people jam on Roland Synthesizers? Like the 707 , 808, 303.

You don't need a lot of movement, for something to sound good. And I know not everyone likes stuff, but I do.

@Kwek00 there's a quote 'All music is good if it's good of its kind'...I think if you love music you can appreciate all its forms
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@SW-User Well, I like a lot of diffrent styles. But there are also things that are just not for me. It's all really subjective.

In french they say: "Des goûts et des couleurs, on ne discute pas." (tastes and colors, we won't discuss). Which is a way of stopping an argument about tastes and colors... because it's impossible to discuss. I also think that people that believe that they are the arbitter of what is "objectively" good music, to be hipsters that just like to sniff their own farts. But that's just me.
SW-User
@Kwek00 😄 agreed and well put

@SW-User Tell it to the french. I just love the expression, it sounds good and I use it a lot.
