I Love Listening to Music

music to me must have a connection, be it a place in time or in your life or an emotion you are feeling at that time you hear a song. Maybe it speaks to your life in general or your experiences music means different things to different people. but what bugs me is people listening to music simply because its popular and for no other reason. I truly get that musical taste is subjective but only as a example what connection do middle class white kids from suburbia have with gangsta rap? they truly have not had the same experiences as those artists, do they? I guess I just don't get it, maybe I'm too old to understand. Well done to those artists to have that kind of mass appeal but I just cannot see the appeal.
